 Project Description One-Two Sentences
UNC Greensboro is seeking letters of interest from qualified professionals for the Mossman Building Roof Replacement project. The Mossman Building has an Inverted Roof Membrane Assembly (IRMA) roofing system that was installed in 2008. Due to poor drainage/water retention, the roof is showing premature failure and needs to be replaced. Copings, flashings, and caulking around the roof perimeter are maintenance issues also need to be repaired and/or replaced. Walkway pads shall be added to the roof for safety and access. There are ribbon windows between the perimeter of the upper and lower roofs to help capture daylight. These double pane/aluminum windows are performing poorly due to issues with insulation and flashing details. The Designer shall study these existing windows and provide recommendations and solutions to the performance issues.
