Fayetteville State University is accepting proposals for a Construction Manager at Risk for the Campus Wide Utilities Infrastructure Projects until 5:00 pm on February 5, 2024, via Electronic submission. All responses should be delivered electronically in PDF format via email to Harold Miller at hmiller1@uncfsu.edu. Hard copies are not requested or required for this solicitation. This Utility Infrastructure Repair project includes the most pressing and critical improvements to three FSU-owned underground utility infrastructure systems: the medium voltage (12.47 kV) electrical distribution system, the stormwater sewer and natural gas distribution system. The majority of the MV electrical system is 25-30 years old. Nearly 90% of this project cost is dedicated to that MV electrical system, replacing the 25-30 year old cabling, pad-mounted switches and transformers, and metal enclosed switchgear. There are several failed/collapsed sections of stormwater drainage system that will be the focus of that stormwater repair work. Some old buried, corroded, and leaking metal natural gas piping will be replaced with new plastic piping, and some failed shutoff valves will be replaced. An update of the campus utility infrastructure maps and electrical and natural gas submetering is included in the project scope. Proposers who attended the preproposal conference on January 16 are not required to attend on January 25.
