Opportunities to Do Business with the Universities

The Work of this project will consist of, but not be limited to, the renovation of approximately 10,500 sf existing shell space on the first floor of Murray Hall. The program will primarily be comprised of the following areas; Applied Physical Science research laboratories and support spaces, offices, conference room, lounge/coffee bar area, student workrooms, wood working, metal working, electronics, digital fabrication, classroom, and circulation. The Work will include demolition, interior finishes, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, and sprinkler. The estimated construction contract cost is $2.8 million. The following General Contractors have been pre-qualified to bid this job: ACH Constructors, LLC; Bordeaux Construction Company, Inc.; D.A. Everett Construction Group; H.M. Kern Corporation; Monteith Construction Corporation; Riley Contracting Group. All Documents may be obtained by or reviewed at BHDP Architecture, 150 Fayetteville Street, Suite 820, Raleigh, NC 27601 A mandatory public Pre-Bid meeting and site visit will be held for all interested bidders at 1:00 pm on July 8, 2015 beginning in the Kenan Science Library, G301 Venable Hall, CB# 3290, UNC-Chapel Hill, NC 27599-3290. The meeting will address project specific questions.
