The Office of Leadership and Talent Management helps to steer the administrative functions and talent strategies for executive leadership within the UNC System. The office enhances leadership and talent management through strategic retention efforts, succession planning, professional development programs, and effective administrative oversight.

The office oversees key Systemwide leadership and talent initiatives such as the Executive Leadership Institute, which helps our institutions retain and develop their most talented employees for future leadership roles within the UNC System.

Executive Leadership Institute

The UNC Executive Leadership Institute prepares and develops future leaders identified within the UNC System. Broadly, the program’s purpose is to increase the ability of talented employees to move into Systemwide senior leadership positions.
