| Project Description | One-Two Sentences UNC Greensboro is seeking letters of interest from qualified
professionals for the project entitled, Spring Garden
Apartments Roofing - HVAC Replacement.
Spring Garden Apartments were built in 2005. The building
HVAC system is comprised of individual heat pumps for each
apartment unit. The heat pumps are obsolete and in need of
replacement. The roof is 19 years old and is showing
significant degradation, particularly in the flat portion
which accommodates the heat pumps. The scope of this project
is to combine roofing and roof top HVAC unit replacement to
limit building disruption as much as possible. Design to be
completed in time so that bidding, contracting and material
procurement can facilitate construction to take place in
summers 2026 and 2027 when the apartments are unoccupied.
For full submission requirements and additional information
about this project, please see Institution URL above.
Current project authorization is for advance planning only.
The selected firm may be retained through full design and
construction at the university's option.
