North Carolina Central University is accepting proposals for
design, bidding, and construction administration services in
support of University INFORMAL renovation and construction
projects (i.e. less than $300,000). The Open-End Agreement,
(OEA), is an Annual Service Agreement and will be applied on
an as-needed basis by the University. Details on the
specific services required will be defined within a
Statement of Work issued by Facilities Management for each
individual project effort. Duly qualified and licensed
professionals may submit for the following disciplines:
1. Architectural - General
2. Architectural - Lab Design
3. Asbestos Abatement (Design and Testing Services)
4. Civil Engineering
5. Construction Cost Estimating Services
6. Engineering Commissioning/Retro-commissioning
7. Landscape Design
8. Materials Testing/ Geotechnical Engineering
9. MEP Engineering Services - General
10. Roof Waterproofing and Building Envelope
11. Structural Engineering
12. Surveying and Utility Location Services
Submittals are limited to 20 pages (10 sheets of letter
format, tabloid format shall be considered as 2 pages). The
submission shall not include links to external websites or
downloadable files. The submittal must include descriptions
of (based on 01 NCAC 30J .0303 SELECTING CRITERIA):
1. Specialized or appropriate expertise in this type
of project
2. Past performance on similar projects
3. Adequate staff and proposed design & consultant
team for potential projects
4. Current workload and State projects awarded
6. Recent experiences with project costs and
schedules
7. Construction administration capabilities
8. Proximity to and familiarity with the campus
9. Record of successfully completed projects without
major legal or technical problems
10. Historically Underutilized Business (HUB)
participation & utilization in proposed team structure,
and who/how HUB designers were utilized on previous
projects
Proposals must be received by email no later than 4:00 PM on
