Finance and Administration

The Division of Finance and Administration supports the University of North Carolina Board of Governors and president in advancing the financial stewardship and sustainability of the UNC System. The division oversees budget development and execution, facilities and property management, capital construction, debt management, procurement policy, tuition and fee development, monitoring institutional financial health, and fiscal analysis of policy initiatives.

Budget Initiatives

The 2026-27 Budget Priorities lay the foundation for a more productive, data-driven, and accountable system of higher education. These priorities are directly tied to the goals in the UNC System Strategic Plan. 

Chart of Accounts

The UNC Chart of Accounts (Revised May 23, 2012) includes purpose codes, revenue objects, expense objects, asset and liability accounts that are used in financial reporting (BD 701).
