Committee on University Personnel
The Committee on University Personnel focuses on general compensation and other personnel matters, including: salary pre-approvals above certain thresholds for employee exempt from the State Human Resources Act (EHRA), recommending terms and conditions of appointment for the President and the Chancellors, System-wide human resources policy matters, and strategic issues impacting the University workforce. The Committee receives reports on a variety of personnel matters including the conferral of permanent tenure when not otherwise delegated to Boards of Trustees. The Committee, or a subset of its members, is also the body that hears final appeals resulting from grievances from faculty members or EHRA non-faculty employees that are unresolved at lower levels of the appeals process.
