The North Carolina Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA) is a statewide agreement governing the transfer of credits between N.C. community colleges and N.C. public universities.
The CAA strives to provide a positive experience to students wishing to transfer to one of 16 universities in the UNC system, assuring admission and enabling N.C. community college graduates of two-year associate of arts and associate of science degree programs to transer with junior status.*
Recently, the State Board of Community Colleges and the UNC Board of Governors signed a revised agreement that will greatly improve the transfer process.
