The University of North Carolina Board of Governors will meet in special session on Thursday, July 23, 2026. Three committee meetings will be held sequentially beginning at 9 a.m., with five-minute breaks between meetings. The full Board will meet five minutes after the conclusion of the final committee meeting. The complete schedule of meetings for the day is available on our website.
These meetings are designated as special meetings because they are taking place on one day instead of two due to an abbreviated agenda.
The meetings will be held virtually, originating at 223 S. West St. in Raleigh. Portions of the meetings will be streamed online so that simultaneous live audio and video are available to the public. The livestream can be found here.
If technical difficulties arise with the video stream, video will be disabled for Board members and the public, and the meetings will be conducted and streamed in audio format only. Please note that some items may be considered in closed session under the provisions of the Open Meetings Law.
