North Carolina Central University, a top-ranking southern regional university and historically black university, is located in Durham adjacent to Research Triangle Park.  With a diverse student body of more than 8,000 scholars, the university offers bachelor’s degrees in 100 disciplines, master’s degrees in more than 40 areas, and a Ph.D. in Integrated Biosciences.
