ABOUT THE COMMITTEE
The Board of Governors of the UNC System and the State Board of Community Colleges originally approved the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA). This joint agreement fulfills the provisions of House Bill 739, Senate Bill 1161 (1995 Session of the General Assembly), and House Bill 903. The Transfer Advisory Committee oversees refinements and minor changes to the CAA. The committee brings any significant changes to the Board of Governors and the State Board of Community Colleges for review at the discretion of the presidents of UNC and the NC Community College Systems.
The Transfer Advisory Committee includes members from both public higher education systems:
- NCCCS Members: Four representatives from the North Carolina Community College System, who are appointed by the chief academic officer of the NCCCS.
- UNC System Members: Four representatives from the University of North Carolina System, who are appointed by the chief academic officer of the UNC System.
The Transfer Advisory Committee elects two co-chairs, with one representing the NCCCS and one representing the UNC System. The current officers are:
Tracy Mancini, Co-Chair, Carteret Community College
Denettia Shaw, Co-chair, North Carolina Central University
