Chapel Hill, NC – University of North Carolina System Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer Kimberly van Noort released the following statement:
“East Carolina University and Elizabeth City State University are collaborating with the private sector on ways to support the growing needs of aerospace manufacturing in Eastern North Carolina. No proposal has been submitted for review by the UNC System nor has it been approved by the UNC Board of Governors, and Elizabeth City State University will continue to be home to the state’s only 4-year aviation sciences program. We support the collaboration between ECSU and ECU to identify solutions that support job creation and strengthen our state’s critical aviation and manufacturing industries.”
