Fayetteville State University Operations
In anticipation of the effect that Hurricane Dorian may have on the Fayetteville region, Fayetteville State University will operate on the following schedule:
Cancellation of Classes
Classes will be canceled starting at 5 p.m., on Wednesday, September 4, 2019. Classes will resume on Monday, September 9, 2019. Students should monitor their Canvas accounts for any class assignments.
On Wednesday, September 4th beginning at 5 p.m. and continuing until midnight on Thursday, September 5th, the University will operate under Condition 2: Suspended Operations, All but mandatory operations will be suspended. Only mandatory employees should report to work. Non-mandatory employees must not report to work. It is important to note that under Condition 2, university employees are required to account for their time by using compensatory time, annual and/or bonus leave or leave without pay.
Beginning at 12:01 am on Friday, September 6th, the University will operate under Condition 1: Reduced Operations – University is open. Employees should report to work if possible or otherwise use their available paid leave.

Employees who will not be in their offices or workspaces should remember to power off their PCs before they leave on Wednesday, September 4th.
