The Kenan Institute at UNC-CH and the North Carolina Department of Commerce is currently undertaking a major statewide initiative to develop a brand for the State of North Carolina.  This project will assist NC Commerce and the Office of the Governor by assembling basic research findings, core concepts and examples of creative expressions for a statewide brand which will be used in communication by all departments of state government and also externally for purposes such as promoting tourism and recruiting new businesses and citizens.  Everyone is invited to participate by answering the question “What should North Carolina stand for?”
