CHAPEL HILL, NC – The University of North Carolina Board of Governors has selected 17 outstanding faculty members to receive the 2020 Awards for Excellence in Teaching.
CHAPEL HILL, NC – The UNC Board of Governors voted to honor two UNC System faculty members with the 2019 Governor James E. Holshouser, Jr. Award for Excellence in Public Service. The recipients are Dr. Mark I. West from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Dr. Martin Posey from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
UNC System has launched a digital resource on its website to assist faculty who need to move classes online quickly. The material supports the use of technology that allows faculty to hold classes when circumstances prevent them from physically meeting with students.
The University of North Carolina System has announced that Dr. Sy Atezaz Saeed, chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at East Carolina University, is the recipient of the 2019 Oliver Max Gardner Award.
