| | Prequalifying for | | Balfour Beatty is seeking to pre-qualify principal trade and
specialty contractors to submit bids for the furnishing of
labor, material, and equipment for the University of North
Carolina Wilmington Housing Renovations Phase I project.
Balfour Beatty has been selected as the Construction Manager
at Risk for the project and will receive bids from
pre-qualified bidders only, and will contract with the
principal and specialty contractors for the execution of the
work.
The Housing Renovations Phase I will require trade
subcontractors for the following bid
packages: General Trades/Demo, Fencing, Site
Grading/Utilities, Drywall, ACT, Fire Protection,
Mechanical, HVAC Controls, Electric, Plumbing, and Final
Cleaning.
Similar project experience will be considered during
prequalification. Submittals for pre-qualification may be
hand delivered, mailed, faxed, or
submitted electronically.
The CM and Owner reserve the right to reject any and all
Pre-qualifications. Contracting
method will be through Competitive Public Bid in accordance
with Chapter 143 of the NC General
Statues. Balfour Beatty has an affirmative policy of
fostering, promoting and conducting business with
Historically Underutilized Businesses. HUB contractors are
highly encouraged to participate in the bid process. All
Bidders are strongly encouraged to include opportunities for
HUB participation wherever possible in their respective bid
submission. Historically Underutilized Businesses is a part
of this contract and must comply with the State of North
Carolina General Statues. | |
