Opportunities to Do Business with the Universities

The Library tower project will include the following: - enlarge the two existing elevator shafts - replace the elevators to meet ADA requirements - renovate the existing tower restrooms to meet building code and ADA requirements - increase the number of plumbing fixtures to meet building code - replace finishes to include paint and carpet for areas disturbed by the project improvements - upgrade telecommunications, electrical and HVAC as required for the ADA improvements The Fire/Smoke System upgrades include repairs and replacement of components associated with the buildings atrium and high-rise smoke control system. These upgrades will require: - Full review of active smoke control system - Establish a sequence of operations for the full building smoke control system - Design complete building smoke control system to operate as a single system - Design any components to address replacing or removing any failed or extraneous equipment - Renew/upgrade dry valve in G76 which serves the dry sprinkler system at the loading dock sprinkler system at loading dock - Design for a new fire pump controller There will be a mandatory pre-proposal meeting held at 2:00 pm on July 7, 2022. The meeting will take place in 124 Halton Room Atkins Library (#4a on the campus map ??? http://facilities.uncc.edu/maps) on the UNC Charlotte campus. Parking is available in Cone Decks 1 & 2.
