East Carolina University is seeking a qualified design firm
to provide advance planning services for Main Campus -
Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution System (EDS) Point of
Delivery (POD) 3. The existing campus EDS is supplied by
two (2) POD's (POD 1 and POD 2) that serve the entire
main campus. The main campus electrical load is increasing
through existing building renovations, new building
construction and future University planned expansion.
This study consists of a conditional assessment of the
existing EDS equipment including load studies and load
capabilities for each POD loop circuit (4 loop circuits for
each POD) and schematic design services for an expansion of
the main campus EDS by adding a POD 3 at East Carolina
University in Greenville, North Carolina.
Current project authorization is for advance planning only.
The selected firm may be retained through full design and
construction at the university's option.
