The condensate main has failed in multiple locations such that the condensate is not being recovered or returned to the steam plant. The goals for the project include: -The new pre-insulated condensate piping system will be a direct buried, Class A conduit style system and consist of carbon steel carrier pipe with Pyrogel XT insulation, outer steel pressure testable conduit followed by foam thermal insulation protected by a water-tight HDPE outer jacket. -The steam service to existing facilities shall be maintained while replacement takes place. Temporary lines may be required along with additional valve to facilitate new line installation. -Existing steam manhole modification to be statically ventilated with electrically driven sump pumps.
