Project Description | One-Two Sentences Western Carolina University (WCU) is soliciting Request For
Qualifications for professional Geotechnical Engineering
(GE) design and construction administration services, and
materials testing and special inspections for the new
Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) Building
located on the Main Campus in Cullowhee, North Carolina. The
project will consist of the construction of an approximately
185,000 square foot multi-storied laboratory building to
replace the existing Natural Sciences Building (NSB). The
project will be phased to allow for the existing
laboratories in NSB to stay operational until they are
relocated to Phase I of the new building. After existing
operations are relocated to Phase I, NSB will be demolished
for the construction of Phase II (site amenities and
landscaping). It is expected that construction will be
completed by January 2021. | |||||
