Project Description | One-Two Sentences Western Carolina University (WCU) is soliciting Request For
Qualifications for professional Geotechnical Engineering
(GE) design and construction administration services, and
materials testing and special inspections for the new Upper
Campus Residence Hall located on the Main Campus in
Cullowhee, North Carolina. The project will consist of the
construction of an approximately 170,000 square foot
multi-storied residence hall to replace the existing
Buchanan Hall. The project will be phased to allow for the
existing residents in Buchanan to stay in place until they
are relocated to Phase I of the new building. After existing
operations are relocated to Phase I, Buchanan will be
demolished for the construction of Phase II (site amenities
and landscaping). It is expected that construction will be
completed by May 2019. | |||||
