 Project Description One-Two Sentences
This project will provide a new 60,000 GSF facility that will offer a unique, flexible configuration that will promote professional partnerships, interdisciplinary collaboration, student engagement and community connections. The new facility will house classrooms, labs, food service, administrative space, and an auditorium. The design will compliment and strengthen the UNCP Master Plan and will include sustainable design features throughout the building. While this project received $23,000,000 in appropriated funds from the NC Connect Bond, a capital campaign is anticipated to provide an additional $13,000,000 in non-bond funds making the total cost of the project approximately $36,000,000. The current total project budget is $25,800,000 with $23,000,000 bond funds, $1,800,000 from Golden Leaf Foundation and $1,000,000 from Sodexo.
