 Project Description One-Two Sentences
Built in 1968, Kenan Laboratories is a ten story, 140,410 sf teaching laboratory facility for the Chemistry and Applied Physical Sciences Departments. This project will renovate approximately 23,000 sf laboratory and office space located on the 7th and 8th floors. Additional infrastructure upgrades for this project will include the construction of new restroom facilities on floors 4-8, the installation of three new rooftop air handling units that will serve floors 5-9 and the installation of a new wet pipe fire sprinkler system for floors 3-9 and the basement, in order to meet the current NFPA fire protection requirements.
