Sealed proposals will be received from pre-qualified contractors by the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Facilities Design and Construction, 105 Gray Drive, Greensboro,NC 27412 up to 2:00 pm on December 1, 2015 and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, material and equipment entering into the construction of the Moore Strong Fire Alarm Replacement Project. Bids will be received for a Single Prime Electrical Contract. All proposals will be lump sum. This is an extended bid opening date due to insufficient bids received on the initial opening date 11/17. The project scope of work will require removal of the existing fire alarm system in its entirety, replacing with a Class A fully addressable Fire Alarm and Mass Notification System. Alternate bids shall be taken for lighting fixtures in the student rooms. Moore Strong Residence Hall is a four story building, approximately 65,000 square feet with 145 sleeping rooms, both single and double occupancy, one resident assistant suite and public spaces including laundry, lounge and meeting rooms. UNC Greensboro Facilities Design and Construction 105 Gray Drive Greensboro, NC 27412 An open Pre-bid meeting and a separate Preferred Brand Alternates Meeting will be held at Facilities Design and Construction, 105 Gray Drive on October 27, 2015 at 2:00 pm.
