College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC.org)

College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC) is a premier college access program in the United States with the mission of increasing the college-going rate in North Carolina. Its website, CFNC.org, provides a comprehensive resource to assist all North Carolina students and families in planning, applying and paying for college.

CFNC.org has partnerships with all 110 public and private North Carolina colleges (map) as an application portal, with over 1.25 million college applications submitted online to date. CFNC.org was selected by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) as the sole partner and provider of electronic high school transcripts in the state.

Transcript Manager

CFNC.org offers Transcript Manager. Transcript Manager lets students electronically request their official high school transcript and submit it with their application when applying online through CFNC.org.

CFNC Technology and Internet Services

CFNC Technology and Internet Services is responsible for the overall vision and direction of the "plan" and "apply" sections of CFNC.org, including online admission applications to all 110 participating colleges and universities in North Carolina.

CFNC campus services manager provides free training and campus visits to all participating institutions, assisting colleges and universities in realizing the maximum benefit of participating in the CFNC partnership. This is accomplished by employing targeted and refined recruitment and application strategies.

Resource Center

The CFNC Resource Center is responsible for training and outreach efforts to elementary, middle and high schools; development and dissemination of all college access publications; Spanish services; and curriculum resources.

The CFNC Resource Center’s Call Center is staffed by college information specialists, and includes one Spanish-speaking and eight English-speaking graduate students. These individuals are responsible for answering and responding to e-mail and telephone inquires Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
