Undergraduate Research Consortium Activities

The UNC Undergraduate Research Consortium supports and promotes undergraduate research at UNC by publicizing various opportunities for undergraduate researchers, and hosting a number of research symposia. These symposia give participating students the opportunity to demonstrate the quality and breadth of undergraduate research and creative scholarship at UNC.

Research in the Capital is a symposium held biennially at the North Carolina State Capital in Raleigh. It allows undergraduate researchers from the University of North Carolina the opportunity to display and discuss their primary work with state legislators. The event emphasizes the overall benefits of such work to North Carolina and its citizens.

The State of North Carolina Undergraduate Research and Creativity Symposium (SNCURCS) is held annually and includes academic and creative presentation by undergraduate students from all colleges and universities in North Carolina. SNCURS serves to recognize, showcase, and celebrate original research and creative work as integral to a well-rounded undergraduate education.
