American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009
This site will provide information to the North Carolina taxpayer on the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and other economic stimulus opportunities; particularly those targeted for higher education.
Federal stimulus and other funds granted to the State of North Carolina should receive the highest level of oversight and accountability with full transparency. This site also provides resources and guidance for researchers and research administrators within the UNC system towards compliance with the heightened reporting requirements for ARRA funded projects.
Spending of recovery funds for higher education will be posted on this site, along with updated documents/explanations (of the use and access of funds) and news. Information about the overall economic impact of UNC-captured recovery funds will also be displayed here, once available.
Information requests or other questions regarding the UNC system’s role in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act should be directed either to Kimrey Rhinehardt, UNC Vice President for Federal Government Relations, or Sarah Smith, UNC Director for Sponsored Programs.
