So…where in the world are YOU going?
Studying abroad in Shanghai or Mumbai, Rio or Reykyavik? Sailing along New Zealand’s golden coasts to conduct maritime studies? Exploring the architecture of ancient Italy? Perhaps your global adventures have taken you no further than the campus dining hall, where a celebration of ethnic cuisine awaits. And if you are an international student studying here in North Carolina, we ARE your destination! Wherever your next international foray takes you – at home or abroad – we want to hear your story. So grab your camera – and your imagination – and participate in the University of North Carolina’s first annual international video competition.
The Focus:
Whether you’re from Amsterdam or Asheville, Nigeria or Newton, studying abroad or visiting from another country – tell us a compelling, creative story about where you’ve been, what you’ve experienced, and how your adventure has impacted you both personally and academically .

First, second and third-place prizes ($500, $250 and $100) will be awarded to winning filmmakers in each category. The winning entries will be featured on the University Of North Carolina website and related social media outlets. Selected videos will also be showcased for university leaders and staff.
The Deadline:
April 15, 2013 (by midnight)
Video Submissions
Maximum running time for submissions is three (3) minutes. Videos longer than three (3) minutes will not be eligible for judging. Acceptable formats for submission include: QuickTime (.mov), Windows Media Video (.wmv) or MPEG (.mpg). Contestants may submit entries in one of the following ways:
