Jenkins to Serve as Chancellor on an Interim Basis of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke

Charles R. Jenkins, professor emeritus and retired provost at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, will become chancellor on an interim basis of the institution on July 1. Jenkins, appointed today by UNC President Erskine Bowles, succeeds Allen Meadors, who announced last week that he was stepping down after 10 years in the post to become president of the University of Central Arkansas, his alma mater.

Woodward Named Interim Chancellor of North Carolina State University

RALEIGH -- James H. Woodward, chancellor emeritus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, has been named chancellor on an interim basis of North Carolina State University.  Woodward, who started work at NC State on June 9, was appointed by UNC President Erskine Bowles following the resignation of Chancellor James L. Oblinger.
