The WSSU Student Government Association launched the Rams Go Green Initiative through the Student Senate and its Environmental Committee with the Class Councils hosting campus and community clean-ups and other conservation and recycling programs last April.
The Office of Marketing and Communications (OMC) has employed a “Generation We” attitude by instituting a ‘go green’ right size protocol that conserves resources and improves how we communicate.
With a quest to expand our vision even further, OMC launched the “First Annual WSSU Generation Green Festival,” a three-day celebration that kicked off Monday, April 20 and culminated Wednesday, April 22, 2009, on Earth Day.

In addition, videos were produced to encourage students to “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” through reducing water use, reducing power use, and recycling/reusing materials through simple common sense practices. The videos can be found at http://www.wssu.edu/green/.
