UNC Tomorrow Commission Charge
The University of North Carolina Tomorrow Commission was charged with the important task of guiding the University’s initiative to determine how UNC can best meet the needs of North Carolina and its people both now and into the future. The Commission, a blue-ribbon group including business, education, government, and nonprofit leaders from across the state, was charged with learning what the people of North Carolina need from their University and making recommendations to the Board of Governors on what needs UNC should respond to.
During the course of the initiative, Commission members and staff:
Faculty from across the University provided research and advice to the Commission through a 14-member UNC Tomorrow Scholars Council.
In the spring of 2007, the UNC Board of Governors launched UNC Tomorrow, an initiative to determine how the University of North Carolina can best meet the needs of the state and its people.
