Government Relations
The Office of Government Relations for the 17-campus University of North Carolina is located in the Chief of Staff's office. Government relations interacts with state and federal government officials including the NC Congressional delegration and the Congress, the NC General Assembly, state and federal agencies and the higher education community. The goal of government relations is to advance the understanding and support for the University's mission to discover, create, transmit and apply knowledge to address the needs of individuals and society. In fulfilling this mission, the University seeks an efficient use of available resources to ensure the highest quality in its service to the citizens of North Carolina.
