Ms. Henz identifies research opportunities and supports the policy, program, and budget process. She participates in the development of the Academic Affairs Division's strategic and operational plan and coordinates specialized data collection with other unit directors and with appropriate individuals on the campuses. She is the chief point of contact between academic planning and the offices and staffs responsible for developing budget and tuition models.
Ms. Blackwell serves as the program director for the joint grant funded project between University of North Carolina and North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) entitled "Credit When It's Due". This project is a collaborative effort between the UNC and the NCCCS to create a statewide reverse transfer process, a process that will minimize barriers to postsecondary education and maximize student success. Ms. Blackwell is responsible for the daily management and operations of the program.
Jeffrey HillMr. Hill coordinates the collection and publication of space inventory and utilization data for all 17 constituent institutions of the University of North Carolina, the 58 community colleges, and the participating private institutions in North Carolina. He also maintains the Facilities Condition Assessment Program (FCAP) database on which repair and renovation funding allocations are based.
Karen CopelandMs. Copeland assists the Director of Space Utilization and Analysis with capturing square footage data from N.C. campuses using AutoCad. She also assists individual campuses with converting architectural plans of older buildings into electronic drawings and updating the drawings for buildings with renovations and additions.
Dr. Lacy is responsible for identifying research opportunities; ensuring annual Board of Governor's reporting requirements are met on wide ranging topics, designing and conducting studies working in conjunction with appropriate General Administration staff and/or external parties; providing analysis of data to guide internal management decision making; communicating with campus and agency representatives concerning data receipt, reporting, and accuracy and providing these representatives the guidance, assistance, and continuous monitoring necessary in the assembling of data for institutional management and for the maintenance of various report files. He also coordinates specialized data collections activities with other unit members and with appropriate individuals at the campus level.
Mr. Fotheringham produces reports related to policy issues; identifies research opportunities, designs and conducts studies with appropriate GA staff and/or external parties, and provides analyses of the data to guide internal management decision-making; and coordinates specialized data collection.
Ms. Chatfield provides administrative support to the Senior Director of Academic Policy and Funding Analyses and the Senior Director of Institutional Research.
Ms. Dow coordinates and supervises the collection and analysis of data for the North Carolina Higher Education Data (NCHED) and other data collection efforts from the 17 constituent UNC campuses, the NCCCS, and other private institutions of higher education in North Carolina. She prepares the Applications/Acceptances report, Administrative Salary Study, SHEEO Salary Survey, and assists with the submission of CSRDE, SHEEO-SHEF, and SREB data. Ms. Dow produces the annual Statistical Abstract, Record Layouts, and provides tabular and graphic presentations for use by the Division. Ms. Dow serves as Human Resources Facilitator and Web Content Manager for the Division.
Mr. Dunston assists with the coordination of the data management and quality efforts of the Division to ensure accurate data for tracking systems by performing audits and analyses on all data files collected by the Division.
Mr. Helton coordinates the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) web-based collections for the University of North Carolina institutions and serves as keyholder for the IPEDS surveys that UNC General Administration is required to complete. He works with the 17 UNC campus institutional research offices in collecting, editing, data-cleansing, and reporting of Student Data Files for applied, enrolled, and graduated students.
Ms. Johnson oversees the designing, writing, testing, modifying, and debugging of computer programs, creating test data and devising test plans for checking the accuracy of new and existing programs, analyzing project requests, designing input and output specifications, and providing consultation to users to provide technical assistance when needed.
Ms. Kwon supervises the programming staff and oversees the collection of all data files used by the division. She leads the design, integration, and management of data collection, editing, and reporting tools used with the data files collected and maintained by the division.
Ms. Reaves manages the collection of the Student Data File and Course Grade File and oversees the designing, writing, testing, modifying, and debugging of related computer programs, creating test data and devising test plans for checking the accuracy of new and existing programs, analyzing project requests, designing input and output specifications, and providing consultation to users to provide technical assistance when needed.
Ms. Simpson identifies, collects, cleans, and maintains the University-wide data needed for University management processes and the completion of internal and external reporting requirements. She is responsible for designing, writing, and maintaining new and existing computer programs to support the Institutional Research and Analysis Division, other divisions of UNC-GA, the 17 institutions of the University of North Carolina, and the general public.
