The Division of Information Resources shareds its expertise and resources with UNC partners to help meet the needs of North Carolina's public schools. Expanding the use of e-Learning for teacher preparation and increasing e-Learning opportunities for professional development will improve the academic achievelment of North Carolina's students and promote student success in higher education, while increasing the supply of well qualified teachers, administrators, and other school personnel.

Online Services, Networking and Media Services, and Decision Support Integration are working with University School Programs to research best practices for obtaining and analyzing data on the disparity between supply and demand
Increasing e-Learning opportunities for professional development
- The Information Resources continues to work with University School Programs in providing course management systems and technical support.
Helping teachers and learners effectively use technology
- The Teaching and Learning with Technology Collaborative, in cooperation with University-School Programs, invited representatives from the UNC Center for School Leadership Development to the annual TLT conference to increase awareness of professional development opportunities and activities available to the K-12 community.
- The TLT Collaborative invited representatives from the eight Center for School Leadership Development programs to participate in systemwide TLT user groups related to e-Learning
