The University of North Carolina System will be rolling out a new payroll system to replace the State's Central Payroll system for nine UNC campuses over the next several months. Following a careful assessment, a joint decision was made to transition Central Payroll campuses to an integrated system that will allow the University to centrally process payrolls for all nine campuses. The new system will allow the University to establish a single unified set of best practices and process payroll in a consistent manner. All nine campuses are expected to be transitioned to the new UNC system by April 2011.
