Participating Districts & Target Schools
As a State grant, administered by The University of North Carolina General Administration since 2000, GEAR UP North Carolina has worked with over 26,000 students and their families in 34 of North Carolina's 100 counties to increase the number of North Carolina students from low-income districts and high schools who graduate and enroll and succeed at a postsecondary institution. During the 2012-19 grant cycle, GEAR UP NC will serve the following participating school districts also highlighted in yellow on the map below.
