With more than nine million residents in North Carolina, it's easy to come up with reasons to focus on health. The challenges of childhood obesity, ensuring the health of aging populations and creating healthier workplaces are among the most pressing health issues facing the state. Now, thanks to a $3 million grant from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation, UNC Asheville is even better positioned to continue to address these challenges through the University’s N.C. Center for Health and Wellness.
