Eagles are soaring high at North Carolina Central University's Department of Nursing. Last year's cohort of graduates passed the state's required nursing exam on the first try at a rate of 90 percent, surpassing the University of North Carolina General Administration's minimum rate of 85 percent for first time test takers. NCCU's nursing students have excelled under the direction of department chair Dr. Lorna Harris and an accomplished nursing faculty.
