Dr. Sylvia A. Flack, executive director of the Center of Excellence for the Elimination of Health Disparities at Winston-Salem State University, was recently honored with the prestigious Health Disparities Leadership Award during the Minority Health and Health Disparities Honor Awards Ceremony at National Harbor, MD. The December 2008 ceremony was part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Summit: "The Science of Eliminating Health Disparities."
