RESOLUTION TO INCREASE FUNDING AND SUPPORT OF TEACHING AND LEARNING

WHEREAS, information technology has become vital for teaching and learning, and

WHEREAS, libraries are essential to teaching, and

WHEREAS, teaching excellence is encouraged through its recognition, and

WHEREAS, current funding in these areas inadequately supports teaching and learning, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Faculty Assembly request that the President of the University support funding of information technology, libraries, and awarding teaching excellence for the 1998-99 fiscal year, at levels greater than those specified in the Board of Governors 1997 Schedule of Priorities Request.
