Resolution for President-elect Molly Corbett Broad

WHEREAS, the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina has unanimously elected Molly Corbett Broad to be the next President of the University of North Carolina; and

WHEREAS, she brings to that position extensive experience as a highly effective leader in higher education; and

WHEREAS, she has a distinguished record as an ardent and enthusiastic advocate of higher education; and

WHEREAS, the Faculty Assembly looks forward to working with her on issues of concern to the University;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Faculty Assembly of the University of North Carolina extend its congratulations and warm welcome to President-elect Molly Corbett Broad and pledge its support in all her efforts to improve the quality of higher education in North Carolina.
