Be it resolved:

That the Faculty Assembly recognizes the financial situation of the state but, nevertheless, wishes to support the efforts of the President in improving benefits for faculty and staff in order to retain and recruit faculty and staff and maintain the quality of personnel in the University of North Carolina system.
