Whereas, the hiring of new faculty and staff within the University of North Carolina is increasingly competitive; and

Whereas, the differential between in-state and out-of-state tuition on all university campuses is considerable;

Therefore be it resolved, that the Faculty Assembly supports the efforts of the University to initiate measures that would result in waiving requirements for in-state tuition for spouse and dependents of eligible state employees.
