Whereas, the minutes of any organization provide the historical record for the organization's activities, and

Whereas, the minutes of the University of North Carolina Faculty Assembly are critical to our understanding of the development of issues over a multi-year period, and

Whereas, the officers of the University of North Carolina Faculty Assembly provide a coherent direction for the Assembly, and

Whereas, the minutes of the University of North Carolina Faculty Assembly for their past two years have been faithfully recorded by Ralph Scott,

Therefore be it resolved that the University of North Carolina Faculty Assembly commend Ralph Scott for outstanding service to the University.
