1. How many campuses make up the University of North Carolina?

UNC is a 16-campus University, with campuses located throughout the state. Use the map of our campuses to link to each campus's individual web home page.

2. How much does it cost to attend UNC?

Tuition and fees at UNC vary from campus to campus and differ for undergraduate and graduate students as well as for in-state and out-of state residents.

3. What are the admissions requirements?

Although every campus has the same minimum high-school course requirements, each campus also establishes its own admissions policy. Please visit a campus' individual website for admissions information.

10. How do I apply for the UNC Academic Common Market to pursue (at in-state rates) an out-of-state degree program not offered by UNC?

North Carolinians apply online on the UNC-ACM website:

Click the "Participation/Application" link on the left to get to the application form.
(Residents of other participating states must apply through their own state.)

11. Does the UNC-ACM support both undergraduate and graduate programs?

No. The UNC-ACM supports only selected graduate degree programs, enabling residents of North Carolina to pursue graduate degrees in other participating states at in-state tuition rates, and residents of those states to pursue graduate degrees in North Carolina at in-state rates. Go to the UNC-ACM website for more information: 

12. I want to attend a UNC institution. Can I apply online?

Yes. You can apply to any of our 16 campuses online by filling out an electronic application through the College Foundation of North Carolina. If you are new to the CFNC site, you will need to create a free account before you can apply.
