The University of North Carolina's best advocates are the alumni and friends of our 16 constituent institutions. Our advocates are encouraged to communicate with members of the NC General Assembly and other elected officials regarding issues of importance to the university and higher education. You may also participate in your community by talking with local government and business leaders. We encourage you to become a part of our advocacy program!

We have created a University of North Carolina Advocacy Notebook for use as a resource concerning state and federal government issues. You will find information here on the university's priorities and initiatives, both at the state and federal level, as well as information on the NC General Assembly and the NC Congressional Delegation.

The 2006 NC General Assembly has adjourned.  Thank you for your support of the University of North Carolina.
