Special Projects provides support for a range of activities and initiatives that are critical to implementation of UNC's IT Strategy. Special Projects coordinates and facilitates strategic alliances with steering committees and planning bodies, and it serves as a liaison with special interest groups and strategic partners, such as SAS.

In addition, Special Projects collaborates with the Division of Public Affairs and University Advancement to monitor legislative actions involving IT policy and expenditures, and it works with members of the N.C. General Assembly and their staffs to increase understanding of UNC's IT needs.
