Online Services provides consultation on web-based solutions to the UNC General Administration and affiliated organizations. The unit also manages the maintenance and development of the UNC-General Administration web site, www.northcarolina.edu.

The unit serves as an advisor on the technical capabilities and limitations of web solutions, works with content managers to improve online communication, and develops tools and strategies to support UNC's mission and goals in its online presence.

Online Services works in conjunction with Networking and Media Services to host web sites and is a partner with the UNC Division of Public Affairs and University Advancement.
