The North Carolina Community College System and the N.C. Department of Public Instruction work closely with UNC on a number of projects. The Education IT Collaboration Group, comprised of the chief technology officers of the three organizations, meet regularly to discuss issues facing institutions of higher education and opportunities for collaboration. One project, for example, will enable seamless transfer of high school records to admissions offices at community college and university campuses.
